Japanese Haiku (not standard)

by Andrea Mucciolo

And I fall ill for you
Yesterday
today
tomorrow

The art of love
is learnt
through the folds of time

Autumn rain
A dog runs
Soaked with abandonment

Thick fog
chokes
a dying smile
a sun ray
rips within.

It is the brain’s fault
that does not
pass on
to the heart
that never listens

Through sun rays
dreams
sprout

Sky and gold
morning mockery
cold in the soul

Mountains
gaze
from faraway
at the crazy circle of life.

Elsewhere
not here
in the infinite
guided hand in hand.

Summer cricket
pinched life
a crow watches
pleased.

Damp grass
turns off
the heart’s greed.

It’s crystal clear,
with the Moon
all is love.

Gentle strokes
filthy hands
of shame.

And without you…
The sun will rise again…

A tip of sun
With love
warms the soul.

Me lizard
a cutoff heart
will never grow back

Soft lips
knife in the back
simply
you.

Solitary
oak tree
rests in peace
does not care
about my tears.

Sweet you
our bodies
on the snow
warm with love.

Poppies
summer wheat
joy
lost in my mind.
